Job summary

myenergi is seeking a versatile development engineer to own work from specification through delivery across firmware and hardware for the HEMS range. You will write bare‑metal firmware for ARM Cortex‑M MCUs, design analogue and digital circuits, and tackle cross‑domain challenges with a breadth of technical experience.

The role offers senior autonomy, mentoring responsibilities, and close collaboration with firmware, hardware, QA, and compliance teams.

Qualifications

• Embedded C firmware: solid, production‑quality experience for real‑time MCUs.
• Hardware design: lifecycle design with schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Circuit design for embedded systems; DC‑DC power supplies.
• Firmware/hardware boundary understanding; read complex schematics.
• Debugging with JTAG/SWD, scopes, logic analyzers; proficient with lab gear.
• Version control: Git; project tracking: Jira; strong communication.
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Self‑directed; able to manage multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and maintain embedded C firmware for ARM Cortex‑M and RT MCUs.
• Implement features, drivers, and control logic across HEMS products.
• Write unit tests; debug with JTAG/SWD, oscilloscopes, and logic analysers.
• Specify, design, document, and test analogue and digital circuits.
• PCB schematic capture and layout using Altium/DipTrace; regulatory alignment.
• Collaborate across firmware and hardware; mentor junior engineers.
