Job summary

Fuse Energy seeks an embedded firmware engineer to develop low-level software for microcontrollers and embedded peripherals, working on bare-metal or RTOS-based systems. You will join a hands-on team building energy devices and real-time control software.

The role requires 2+ years in embedded firmware, strong C/C++ skills, experience with SPI/I2C/UART/DMA, and familiarity with Git, Docker and CI pipelines. Office-based, with competitive pay and equity bonuses.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in embedded systems or firmware development.
• Strong C/C++ proficiency for microcontrollers.
• Experience with peripherals: SPI, I2C, UART, DMA, ADC.
• Experience with real-time systems and toolchains (GNU, IAR).
• Familiar with Git, Docker and CI pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop low-level firmware and drivers for MCU peripherals.
• Design real-time control software and embedded algorithms.
• Write, test and debug firmware on bare-metal or RTOS.
• Collaborate with hardware and controls teams to define requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain firmware documentation.
• Assist in board bring-up and debugging with scope and JTAG/SWD.
• Maintain bootloaders, linker scripts and deployment pipelines.
