Job summary

Myenergi Ltd in Grimsby is seeking a senior development engineer who can span firmware and hardware, from bare-metal ARM C to analogue/digital circuits, and own product features end-to-end across the HEMS range.

You will mentor juniors, design cross-domain solutions, and collaborate with firmware, hardware, QA and compliance to deliver robust products for solar, EV, and energy management.

Qualifications

• Embedded firmware experience on real-time microcontrollers; Bare-metal work.
• Proven electronics lifecycle design; schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Experience designing circuits for embedded systems; DC-DC power supplies.
• Comfortable at firmware–hardware boundary; reading complex schematics.
• Proficient with JTAG/SWD, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and lab gear.
• Git and Jira used for source control and project tracking.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to document and present work.
• Degree in Electronic/Computer Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Self-directed and capable of handling multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and maintain embedded firmware for ARM Cortex-M and RT cores.
• Design and test analogue and digital circuitry for embedded systems.
• Conduct circuit analysis, modelling, and PCB layout collaboration with design teams.
• Ensure compliance with power electronics and energy-related standards.
• Lead cross-domain reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, QA, and compliance teams for product delivery.
