Job summary

BramahHR Ltd in Birmingham seeks a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to own embedded software and firmware across energy infrastructure. This hands-on role covers low-level MCU firmware and higher-level supervisory apps, with a focus on reliability, performance and safety-critical design.

You will work across hardware and software, including secure OTA updates, testing and integration, while maintaining structured logging and diagnostics in a hybrid office setting.

Qualifications

• Experienced Embedded Software Engineer with strong C++ in resource-constrained embedded systems.
• Experience taking products from development to integration, testing and live operation.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and translate technical requirements into robust solutions.
• Architect communication gateways between hardware subsystems, cloud services and devices.
• Lead code reviews and mentoring across hardware and software teams.
