Job summary

Trumeter Technologies Ltd. in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Electronics/Embedded Design Engineer (Senior) to own hardware and firmware development from concept to production.

The role involves designing analog/digital circuits, developing embedded software in C, and leading UL submissions while collaborating with electrical, software, mechanical and production teams to deliver robust industrial products.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering or equivalent with industry experience.
• Proven production experience for electronic products, with UL awareness.
• Strong hardware design skills including analogue and digital circuits.
• Schematic capture and PCB design experience.
• Hands-on embedded systems development with various MCUs and IDEs.
• Embedded C development, debugging and deployment experience.
• Experience with AC/DC and DC/DC power supplies and safety compliance.
• Understanding of electrical safety, isolation, creepage and clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop product requirements, hardware specifications and embedded software specs.
• Design and debug embedded software for MCU-based systems.
• Create analogue, digital and mixed-signal circuits for industrial products.
• Produce schematics, choose components and supervise PCB layouts.
• Design and evaluate power supplies, including protection and isolation.
• Develop low-power battery designs and measure electrical parameters.
• Prepare documentation and test evidence for UL submissions.
• Carry out prototype testing, fault investigation and design reviews.
• Support production introduction and calibration.
