Qualifications

• Experience with electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.
• Hands-on approach with learning from engineering team to support Alpha & Beta Systems and retrofits.
• Experience designing, testing, and delivering electrical solutions.
• Understanding of machinery safety regulations and EN60204/EN13849 is desired.
• Willingness for domestic and international travel.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
• Strong fault diagnosis and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with PLC processes and testing/compliance to international standards.
• RF and/or plasma experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement ETCH semiconductor process equipment.
• Wiring harness and electrical design, some mechanical design.
• Leading or heavy involvement in building and testing prototypes.
• Plan and execute hardware testing, validation, and performance characterisation.
• Testing and compliance of machines to international standards.
• Fault finding and optimisation as part of PLC processes.
• Support technology development programmes from concept through to installation and commissioning at customer sites.
• Work with process engineers to optimise hardware performance for reliability and process capability.
• Technical report writing.
• Support the transition of designs from development to production.
