United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority invites applications for a Principal Project Engineering Manager to lead the engineering delivery of complex electrical projects for power distribution networks, with senior technical direction across work packages and responsibility for safety, quality and schedule.

The role supports site power network developments at Culham Campus, line manages a multidisciplinary team, develops junior engineers, and contributes to engineering standards while promoting

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Electrical Engineering with relevant professional experience.
• Significant experience delivering complex electrical projects to time and budget.
• Strong capability in exploratory electrical design calculations using first principles.
• Broad knowledge of engineering design processes and industry best practice.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and resource planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of medium-scale and complex electrical projects throughout their lifecycle.
• Provide technical direction across work packages and ensure interfaces between projects and the wider organisation.
• Define requirements, scope and technical solutions to meet quality, budget and programme requirements.
• Oversee activities across design, procurement, manufacture, installation, commissioning, repair and upgrade of electrical systems.
• Lead design analyses, feasibility studies, validation and technical reviews to support decisions.
• Develop technical reports and presentations to communicate plans and risks.
• Produce feasibility studies for future site power network developments.
