Job summary

UK Atomic Energy Authority is seeking an Electrical CAD Team Leader in Culham, England. You will lead a skilled CAD team, overseeing electrical drawings and plans, while coordinating workloads and ensuring compliance with UK and international standards.

You will bring a strong CAD background, engineering qualification and experience managing small teams in a safety-focused environment. The role requires regular on-site presence with flexible working options where possible.

Qualifications

• Engineering or technology degree or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in electrical CAD design and drafting.
• Experience in leading small teams of engineers.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD software such as SOLIDWORKS Electrical or AutoCAD Electrical.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership and safety-focused experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the electrical CAD team, providing guidance, mentoring and setting goals.
• Plan and coordinate CAD resources and workloads to meet deadlines and standards.
• Oversee the production and review of electrical CAD drawings and plans for projects.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and stakeholders to meet specifications.
• Drive continuous improvement in CAD practices and maintain quality controls.
