Job summary

Elite Hire Solutions is recruiting an experienced Electrical Estimator for a Derby-based M&E contractor. You will prepare detailed electrical tenders for large-scale commercial schemes and work with commercial and project teams to support delivery.

Responsibilities include analysing drawings and tender documents, reviewing quotations, producing cost breakdowns, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. You will liaise with clients and suppliers to ensure timely submission of accurate bids.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical estimating within the M&E or building services sector.
• Proven experience estimating commercial projects valued in the multi-millions.
• A strong understanding of electrical building services installations and associated costs.
• The ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Excellent commercial awareness, attention to detail and organisational skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.

Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed electrical estimates and tender submissions for large-scale commercial projects.
• Estimating electrical packages on multi-million-pound projects.
• Analysing drawings, specifications, tender documentation and project requirements.
• Obtaining and reviewing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Producing accurate cost breakdowns, take-offs and bills of quantities.
• Identifying commercial risks, opportunities and potential cost savings.
• Liaising with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Ensuring tenders are submitted accurately and within agreed deadlines.
