Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Water team in Manchester or Warrington. You will own electrical and EICA design delivery across complex water and wastewater projects, working with multidisciplinary teams to drive safe, sustainable solutions.

You will lead technical outputs such as SLDs and technical reports, mentor developing engineers, and ensure designs meet client needs and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience delivering electrical/EICA solutions in complex infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, standards and documentation.
• Experience producing and reviewing outputs such as SLDs, specs and design reports.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary project teams.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with clients, contractors and colleagues.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.
• Experience working in the UK water sector.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status or actively pursuing professional registration.
• Experience with HAZOPs, technical workshops or design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of electrical engineering solutions across multidisciplinary projects.
• Produce and review SLDs, block diagrams, specifications and reports.
• Support design reviews and technical workshops with clients and partners.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers within the team.
• Ensure solutions meet client requirements, standards and project objectives.
