Job summary
Black & Veatch is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support the design and delivery of electrical systems for major nuclear infrastructure projects in the UK. You will work within multidisciplinary teams to deliver solutions across existing and new-build facilities, including upgrades, refurbishment and asset optimisation.
Ideal candidates will have Chartered Engineer status or be progressing towards it, a degree in Electrical Engineering, and 5+ years in regulated industries.
Qualifications
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards chartership.
- Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Typically 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of UK engineering standards, regulations and industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead or support the delivery of electrical design packages for nuclear infrastructure projects.
- Develop and review schematics, cable schedules and layouts.
- Perform engineering calculations: load flow, short circuit, arc flash, battery sizing.
- Prepare technical specifications and BOMs for procurement and construction.
- Undertake site surveys and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
