Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead the design of nuclear infrastructure across the UK and internationally. You will deliver reinforced concrete and steel structures, foundations, equipment supports, and containment-related infrastructure within multidisciplinary teams.

Based in Glasgow or London, the role is primarily office-based with occasional site or project location visits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Typically five years of relevant structural or civil experience.
• Experience designing complex facilities and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Leading the structural design of nuclear and safety-critical facilities.
• Developing concepts from feasibility to detailed design.
• Delivering RC and structural steel designs for buildings and plant structures.
• Producing structural calculations, reports and specifications.
• Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Mentoring developing engineers and guiding technical outputs.
