Job summary

Suir Engineering is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Northern region, based in Stockport with hybrid flexibility. You will design, develop and maintain electrical control systems for large-scale projects in energy, pharma, and data centres.

The role involves coordinating with clients and cross-functional teams, overseeing on-site electrical engineering activities, and ensuring safety, reliability and quality throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Third level degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years’ experience as an Electrical Project Engineer in HV Energy/ Renewable sector.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, and maintenance of electrical control systems.
• Pre-commissioning and commissioning of GIS/AIS Substations.
• Prepare technical and contract documentation and reports.
• Liaise with clients and design teams to resolve technical issues.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate engineering work and projects.
• Manage site electrical engineering issues including testing and handover.
