Job summary

Suir Engineering Ltd is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design, development and maintenance of electrical control systems for HV and renewable projects. You will contribute from concept through to handover, coordinating with clients and the design team.

The role requires a third level degree in Electrical Engineering, 2+ years in electrical project engineering in HV energy and renewables, and willingness to travel to sites in the Southern region and to international projects from

Qualifications

• Third level degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work within a high performing team.
• Travel to sites in the Southern region is expected.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain electrical control systems and components.
• Develop HV system studies including protection coordination, arc flash, load flow and fault level reports.
• Pre-commissioning and commissioning of GIS and AIS Substations.
• Prepare cost estimates, documentation and reports.
• Monitor progress and report on project status.
• Liaise with clients, designers and contractors on technical issues.
• Plan and coordinate engineering work across projects.
