Siemens Energy in Manchester is seeking a Senior Primary Design Engineer to deliver high-quality primary engineering designs that align with our business strategy. You will prepare detailed technical specifications, layouts, civil guide drawings, and loading calculations while reviewing equipment suppliers' offers and monitoring progress.

You will leverage extensive experience in design, particularly for 400kV substations, and ensure compliance with latest standards and CDM regulations.

Formación

• Min 7–9 years of design experience in the EHV transmission and distribution sector.
• Experience in the UK market is preferred.
• Knowledge of layout and primary equipment for substations up to 400 kV.
• Familiar with the latest transmission and distribution standards and technologies.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety standards including CDM regulations for HV substations.
• Experience checking primary design on 3D models.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver primary engineering designs aligned with the business strategy.
• Prepare technical specifications, layouts, civil guide drawings, and loading calculations.
• Review equipment suppliers' offers.
• Monitor engineering delivery progress and escalate issues as required.
• Collaborate with the team and maintain ownership and accountability.
