Job summary

SEA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced electrical systems for Defence applications at our Barnstaple site. You will provide technical leadership across the engineering lifecycle to deliver reliable, mission‑critical solutions.

The role is onsite 2–3 days per week to support product development and design reviews, with a salary up to £60k depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience leading design of complex electrical systems.
• Familiarity with defence and EMC standards.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and support of complex electrical systems, ensuring compliance with performance, safety, EMC, and defence standards.
• Collaborate with systems, software, and mechanical engineering teams to meet project requirements and quality objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers, promoting best practices in design-for-excellence and manufacturability.
