OpenSourced - Search & Selection is seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer to join an established defence-focused engineering organisation. You will design analogue and digital circuits, develop multi-layer PCB layouts and support from concept to testing and manufacture.

You’ll work with EMC/EMI compliance, cross-disciplinary teams and external suppliers in a hybrid UK environment, taking ownership of complex electronic systems and delivering robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong electronics hardware design experience in a relevant sector.
• Proven PCB design expertise with multi-layer boards.
• Proficiency with Altium, OrCAD or KiCad for schematic and layout.
• Solid analogue and digital circuit design knowledge.
• Experience with obsolescence management and lifecycle planning.
• Familiarity with EMC/EMI principles and compliance.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Exposure to defence, aerospace or regulated environments.
• Experience with motor drives or power electronics is a plus.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, LTspice or Python for simulations.
• FPGA hardware knowledge and VHDL skills.

Responsabilités

• Design analogue and digital circuits, including multi-layer PCB designs.
• Produce and maintain PCB layouts, schematics, BOMs and docs.
• Manage component obsolescence and redesigns as needed.
• Conduct design reviews, verification, validation and testing.
• Troubleshoot complex electronics and support manufacturing.
• Ensure designs meet EMC/EMI requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers.
