Job summary

SEA Ltd in Barnstaple seeks a Mechanical Engineering Team Lead to guide mechanical design, analysis and manufacturing support for military and commercial hardware. You’ll lead a small team, prioritise tasks, and ensure technical quality across the project.

The role requires collaboration with project stakeholders, on-site presence at least 2 days per week, and a salary up to £62k, reflecting experience and responsibilities in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading mechanical engineering teams.
• Strong background in mechanical design, testing and manufacturing support.
• Knowledge of GD&T and BS8888 standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical activities and prioritize tasks for a team of specialists.
• Ensure on-time, on-cost and on-quality delivery of mechanical solutions.
• Provide technical direction and risk management for projects.
• Produce design documentation, test specs and manufacturing data packs.
• Conduct regular 1:1s and develop team members.
