Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for its UK Data Centre MEP team. You will lead electrical design delivery on small to mid-sized projects, coordinating with other building services and wider disciplines to deliver safe, efficient and compliant solutions.

The ideal candidate has postgraduate data centre experience, is familiar with ETAP, Relux/Dialux, MS Project, AutoCAD and Revit, and is aiming for CEng or similar accreditation.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate experience in building services design focused on data centres.
• Familiar with ETAP, Relux/Dialux, MS Project, AutoCAD and Revit software packages.
• Ability to work under guidance from a Principal engineer and wider team.
• Full clean driving licence and passport, willingness to travel including internationally.
• Security clearance eligibility will be required for some projects.
• Master’s degree in electrical engineering (building services bias) or equivalent experience.
• Member of a professional accreditation body, IET or CIBSE; CEng accredited or working towards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the electrical delivery on small to mid-sized projects.
• Provide specialised technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
• Manage own workload and meet deadlines on tasks assigned.
• A self-starter who can use own initiative and a problem solver.
• Present technical solutions to clients and peers.
• Participate in development of technical proposals.
• Attend design team and coordination meetings where required.
• Attend site inspection meetings where required.
• Liaise with clients, professional organizations, contractors, suppliers, sub-contractors and other design team members.
