Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Manager to lead design activities within the KME team on a major Healthcare project in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. You will manage multiple schemes, coordinate internal and external design teams, and ensure delivery to time, budget and quality standards.

The role requires strong MEP/H services knowledge, leadership skills, and experience in BIM-enabled projects. Some flexibility on hours is available, and sponsorship is not offered for this role.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as an MEP design manager with a main or Tier 1 MEP contractor.
• Proven experience delivering multiple medium or large complex schemes.
• Strong technical understanding of MEPH services and electrical interfaces.
• Experience leading teams and procuring high-risk packages.

Responsibilities

• Manage design and working drawing activities within budgets and programmes, ensuring CDM compliance.
• Lead internal and external design teams, ensuring clear scopes and alignment with contract requirements.
• Oversee technical quality, compliance and QA processes for design solutions.
• Build relationships with clients and report design status clearly.
• Support BIM implementation and handover meetings through all stages from inception to construction.
