Job summary

Mott MacDonald Ltd. is seeking a Senior Electrical & Control Engineer to join our Water Utilities Division in the UK. You will lead electrical design and control systems across water projects, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and mentor engineers while ensuring regulatory compliance and seamless integration with other disciplines.

Qualifications

• Qualification to HND level or higher in electrical, electronic, or control engineering.
• Chartered status with IET or equivalent body is required.
• Experience in electrical/control engineering design and consultancy.
• Understanding of health, safety and environmental priorities.
• Experience in water and/or wastewater industry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Electrical power distribution design (LV/HV) for water projects.
• Control system design and SCADA/network specification.
• Design and specification of communications networks.
• Specifying renewable and back-up generation systems.
• Developing plant layouts and cabling/installation design.
• Instrumentation selection and system control strategies.
• Factory and site acceptance testing of equipment.
• Mentoring other electrical engineers and providing direction.
• Ensure designs meet current legislation; integrate with other disciplines.
