Job summary
Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Electrical & Control Engineer to join the Water Utilities Division, delivering electrical and control design across water infrastructure projects in the UK. You will support a growing client base and work in a multidisciplinary team on lifecycle design, feasibility through commissioning.

Qualifications
- HND level or higher in electrical/electronic/control engineering or related discipline
- Chartered status with IET or equivalent
- Experience in electrical and/or control engineering design/consultancy
- Understanding of health, safety and environmental issues
- Experience in water and/or wastewater industry
- Good understanding of pipeline hydraulics and/or water/wastewater treatment processes
Responsibilities
- Electrical power distribution design (LV and HV)
- Control system design
- Design and specification of communications networks and SCADA
- Specifying renewable and back-up generation systems
- Developing plant layouts
- Cabling and installation design
- Instrumentation selection
- Writing system control strategies
- Factory and site acceptance tests of equipment
- Mentoring other electrical engineers and providing technical direction to projects
- Ensuring designs meet current legislation and standards
