Job summary

Keoghs LLP in Bolton seeks a Claims Handler to manage EL/PL delegated authority cases for insurer clients. You will work with a Technical Support Lawyer on strategy and liability decisions while maintaining strong client service and adherence to SLAs.

The role requires a forensic, analytical approach and experience with pre-action disclosures, infant approvals and related processes, with 9-5 hours at Parklands, Bolton Office.

Qualifications

• Experience handling EL/PL files is essential and demonstrated in prior roles.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external partners.
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage EL/PL delegated authority fixed fee cases for insurer clients.
• Prepare and review disclosure, evidence and medical records as needed.
• Instruct Counsel/experts and liaise with witnesses and solicitors.
• Set strategy and monitor progress; draft orders and cost schedules.
• Attend conferences/Trials with Counsel and ensure client service levels.
• Handle routine correspondence and respond within SLA requirements.
• Carry out pre-action steps and manage allocation questionnaires.
• Ensure compliance with SRA standards and internal policies.
