Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior EICA Engineer to join the Kier Design team on nationwide water projects. You will deliver electrical, instrumentation, control and automation design across potable water and wastewater assets, ensuring compliant pumping systems and equipment are specified, installed and commissioned.

You will lead a MEICA team, develop junior engineers, and work within an integrated design-and-build delivery model to grow Kier’s presence in the water sector.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer with membership of a Professional Body (IET or IMechE).
• Extensive experience in water, wastewater or process industries including hydraulic design and pumping systems.
• Knowledge of SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) requirements.

Responsibilities

• Overall electrical, instrumentation, control and automation design for water assets.
• Oversight of junior MEICA team members and their development and delivery.
• Produce detailed designs for pumping stations, treatment works, and network assets for potable water and wastewater.
• Ensure designs comply with UK standards (WIMES), British Standards, Water Regulations, CDM 2015 and client specs.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical and process engineers for integrated asset design.
