Job summary

Buckinghamshire Council’s Educational Psychology Service is seeking a Senior Educational Psychologist to lead strategic developments and support the innovative Experts at Hand model. You will combine strategic leadership with people management and direct psychological practice to influence service delivery across the county.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as an Educational Psychologist.
• Expert knowledge of SEND legislation, policy and current developments across Children's Services.
• Experience leading service improvement and multi-agency partnership working.
• Registration with the HCPC and a BPS-accredited Educational Psychology qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead a designated area of strategic development within the Educational Psychology Service.
• Design, implement and evaluate new approaches to educational psychology delivery.
• Influence practice across education, health and care to improve outcomes.
• Provide line management, supervision and professional support to EPs, trainees and assistants.
• Deliver high-quality psychological consultation, assessment and intervention for 0–25-year-olds.
• Build partnerships across education, health and social care to improve outcomes.
• Contribute to strategic planning, quality assurance and service improvement.
• Represent Educational Psychology within local, regional and national networks.
• Contribute to the evolution of Communities of Practice and deployment of expertise across Buckinghamshire.
