Job summary

Buckinghamshire Council is seeking a Senior Educational Psychologist to lead strategic development within the Educational Psychology Service and shape the Experts at Hand model. The role blends strategic leadership with direct clinical practice to improve outcomes for children and young people aged 0-25.

You will supervise staff, build partnerships across education, health and care, and contribute to county-wide service transformation.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as an Educational Psychologist.
• Proven ability to lead service improvement and policy development.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a designated area of strategic development within the Educational Psychology Service.
• Contribute to design, implementation and evaluation of the Experts at Hand model.
• Supervise and develop Educational Psychologists and Trainee Educational Psychologists.
• Line manage Assistant Educational Psychologists.
• Provide high-quality psychological consultation, assessment and intervention for 0–25 year olds.
