Job summary

South Gloucestershire Council is seeking a Senior Educational Psychologist to lead the Education Psychology service, working with schools and settings to promote child development through psychology. You will shape strategic direction, lead on service development and ensure high-quality casework with a team of EPs.

The role includes leadership, management of projects, quality assurance, and collaboration with partner services.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified EP with substantial main-scale casework experience.
• Honours in Psychology with HCPC registration or Doctorate in Educational Psychology with HCPC registration.
• Demonstrated leadership and strategic thinking with innovative practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Educational Psychologists and drive service development.
• Contribute to strategic planning and cross-team effectiveness.
• Develop joined-up work with other professionals to support schools.
• Collaborate with partner services to ensure timely support for young people.
• Provide consultation, assessment, advice and intervention for children with SEND.
