Job summary

Telford & Wrekin Council’s Educational Psychology Service seeks a Specialist Senior Educational Psychologist to join a growing team. The role is 37 hours per week, permanent, with 0.6 FTE traded commitments and hybrid working, offering a pathway to strategic leadership across the service.

You will lead and evaluate developments, promote inclusion, collaborate with schools and partners, and support innovative models like Experts At Hand to improve outcomes for children and families.

Qualifications

• Registered with HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
• Ability to translate strategic vision into operational practice and lead service developments.
• Commitment to inclusion and working with children, families, schools and professionals.
• Experience with service models like Experts At Hand and traded statutory commitments.
• Ability to lead and influence system-wide developments.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic delivery of Educational Psychology Services in a designated specialist area.
• Represent the service and promote applied educational psychology.
• Develop reach and sustainability of the Experts At Hand model across Telford & Wrekin.
• Support quality assurance, evaluation and continuous improvement of delivery models.
• Collaborate with partners including Health and Social Care to extend impact.
