Job summary

Vertu Motors plc is seeking a commercially focused Senior Ecommerce Marketing Manager to lead performance and optimisation across our ecommerce platforms in a hybrid Gateshead environment. You will own the full ecommerce performance strategy—from acquisition and retention to onsite optimisation and product performance—while leading a team and coordinating with channel specialists and external partners.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in ecommerce marketing management.
• Strong knowledge of PPC, SEO, affiliates, CRM, and social channels.
• Proven experience leading teams to achieve commercial targets.
• Experience working with Shopify.
• Highly analytical with strong data decision‑making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands‑on delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs including revenue, traffic, CVR, AOV, and order volume.
• Ensure ecommerce performance aligns with and delivers against commercial plans.
• Deliver seasonal and always‑on campaigns that meet commercial objectives.
• Partner with UX and digital teams to enhance the user journey and improve conversion rates.
• Lead A/B testing and implement best practice optimisation initiatives.
• Oversee content strategy to support SEO growth.
• Work with product teams to ensure product mix and merchandising support business goals.
• Lead performance reporting and stakeholder updates.
• Manage and optimise budgets to drive the best balance of efficiency and revenue.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of ecommerce and channel specialists.
