Job summary

Blue Arrow in Kenilworth is seeking an experienced ecologist to join our Birmingham Ecology Team based in Kenilworth, delivering complex ecological projects from commission through to report delivery. You will combine technical expertise with project management, advise on legislation, supervise junior staff, and build strong client relationships to ensure high-quality environmental outcomes.

As part of the team, you will handle EPSL applications, EcIAs and HRAs, and contribute to winning work

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental consultancy.
• Strong ecology background with a relevant degree.
• Track record of winning work and building client relationships.
• Knowledge of ecological survey techniques, legislation and policy.
• Advanced field skills and a protected species licence.
• Experience delivering high-quality reports and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver large, complex ecological projects.
• Provide expert guidance on legislation, policy and best practice.
• Review and approve technical reports and deliverables.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Advise, coach and mentor more junior team members.
