Job summary

Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Advanced Cardiac Physiologist - Echocardiography to join the Cardiology Diagnostics team in Birmingham. The role requires independent echocardiography practice across inpatient and outpatient settings, including weekend work, with opportunities for accreditation and salary adjustment accordingly.

You will deliver high-quality diagnostic studies, supervise trainees, support service development and ensure governance standards are met

Qualifications

• Qualified as echocardiographer with MSc or BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent.
• Documented evidence of highly developed specialist training in Echocardiography.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of standard and complex echocardiography studies.
• Produce accurate, timely clinical reports and escalate abnormal findings.
• Participate in advanced echocardiography activity and clinics.
• Work as an autonomous practitioner with advanced clinical judgement.
• Support service delivery, supervise junior staff and contribute to governance.
