Job summary

Mersey West Lancashire NHS Trust is seeking a Highly Specialised Clinical Physiologist – Echocardiography to join the Cardio-Respiratory Department. The post is NHS AfC Band 7, permanent, 37.5 hours per week, with sites across MWL.

The role requires RCCP registration and extensive post-qualification experience. The post holder will contribute to a 24/7 service, provide highly specialised supervision, and work with Consultants, Nurses and other healthcare professionals to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualification/experience.
• RCCP Registration is required.
• ILS Qualification is required.
• MSCST/master’s level qualification or equivalent.
• IT Qualification is desirable.
• ALS Qualification is desirable.
• Managerial Qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, unsupervised reports of cardiology and related tests.
• Be able to work across multiple sites and be flexible in duties.
• Contribute to policy development and service improvement.
• Participate in on-call and out-of-hours work when required.
