Job summary

Assystem in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to drive the design and development of electrical services for a next-generation SMR plant. You will define system architecture, select equipment, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver a fully verified power station.

You will manage requirements, perform analyses and simulations, ensure regulatory and safety compliance, and contribute to knowledge sharing across IPTs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in building electrical services design.
• Expertise in space management, cable routing, and cable management.
• Strong team player with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• BPSS and SC required.

Responsibilities

• Define & Manage Requirements – review and document high-level electrical requirements and interfaces using structured processes.
• Design, Analyze & Verify – develop electrical system designs and conduct validation through testing and simulations.
• Ensure Compliance & Quality – ensure designs meet regulatory and safety standards through technical reviews and gates.
• Support Strategy & Risk Management – participate in capacity planning and mitigation strategies.
• Develop & Share Knowledge – create policies, procedures and training materials for teams.
