Job summary

John Lewis & Partners is seeking a Technician Specialist to join our delivery and installation team. You will work as part of a two-person crew, coordinating routes, loading a 7.5-tonne vehicle, and installing products at customers' homes, such as furniture and appliances.

You will also coach fellow drivers and uphold the high service standards John Lewis is known for. The role requires experience with home installations, customer-facing work, and a proactive approach to safety, with a focus on

Qualifications

Must hold a valid Manual C1 UK driving licence with up to 6 points.
DCPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence) or Drivers Qualification Card required from day one.
Experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle is essential.
Previous experience in a customer-facing role is required.

Responsibilities

Be an ambassador for the John Lewis brand with customer service as the top priority.
Coach, develop and assess delivery driver colleagues and share knowledge.
Assist with loading the lorry and work with the warehouse team.
Respect customers' homes and handle unexpected situations to find the best solution.
Install products efficiently and demonstrate usage to customers.
Keep up to date with new products and technologies to perform at your best.
Maintain a safe working environment.
