Job summary

Wates Residential in Basingstoke is seeking a Senior Document Controller to support digital information delivery across our projects. You will ensure data accuracy, ISO 19650 compliance, and a robust Golden Thread of information throughout the project lifecycle.

Working in our Southern team, you’ll collaborate with internal teams, consultants and clients, manage CDE administration, and implement efficient information controls and reporting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in document control and information management within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of Common Data Environment (CDE) management and administration.
• A solid understanding of document control processes across digital and hard copy systems.
• Knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and wider digital construction principles.
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 and information management best practice.
• Awareness of information security principles and their application within construction projects.
• Experience using Dalux or Viewpoint 4Projects.
• A good understanding of construction and design management processes.
• Collaborative approach, with strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Track information deliverables against Task Information Delivery Plans (MIDPs) and identify areas of non-compliance.
• Establish and monitor information exchange processes, including file naming protocols and information standards.
• Act as the key point of contact for project information management and CDE support.
• Configure and maintain project reporting, using data relating to information compliance, RFIs, technical submissions and other key project metrics.
• Support the implementation and administration of Common Data Environments (CDEs).
• Carry out information and data quality checks to ensure compliance and consistency.
• Collaborate with project teams to maintain an accurate and compliant digital record throughout project delivery.
