Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to help shape critical infrastructure projects across highways, rail, energy and aviation. The role sits within the Bridges & Structures team, driving technical excellence and innovative design approaches across UK and international programmes.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, influence project direction and deliver solutions that enhance resilience, decarbonisation and long-term value for clients and communities.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards chartership.
• Experience delivering structural engineering projects within infrastructure, transport, energy or utilities.
• Strong technical engineering and problem-solving capability.
• Experience leading projects, technical packages or engineering teams.
• Ability to collaborate with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex engineering solutions across highways, rail, energy and major infrastructure programmes.
• Influence project direction and deliverables to improve asset performance and sustainability.
• Embed smarter ways of working through digital tools, automation and data-led approaches.
• Collaborate with delivery teams across the UK and globally to drive successful outcomes.
• Develop people and build trusted client relationships to shape future projects.
• Contribute to the Bridges & Structures capability and knowledge sharing.
