Job summary

The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester seeks an experienced Senior Clinical Technologist to join the Diagnostic Radiology and Radiation Protection group. Qualifications

• Registered with the RCT as a Clinical Technologist or HCPC Healthcare Science Practitioner (or eligible for registration).
• Experience with a wide range of X-ray imaging equipment is essential.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel 2–3 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Undertake equipment performance testing, QA, and radiation protection surveys across diagnostic X-ray devices.
• Analyse results and write electronic reports detailing findings and actions.
• Maintain records in Excel/Access and calibrate dose measuring equipment.
• Provide supervision to less experienced staff and assist in QA protocol development.
