Job summary

The Radiological Physics and Radiation Protection Service within the Medical Physics & Clinical Engineering Department at LTHT seeks a registered clinical technologist. The role involves working with imaging modalities to deliver high-quality service, with travel between Trust sites and to customer locations across West and North Yorkshire, and with options for home working where possible.

Qualifications

• Registered clinical technologist or eligible for registration.
• Experience with diagnostic imaging QA.
• Willingness to travel across West and North Yorkshire.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and unplanned quality assurance checks on X-ray equipment.
• Travel to Trust sites and external customer locations across North and West Yorkshire.
• Assist with training new staff and trainees.
• Provide technical support for patient dose management software.
• Involvement in decommissioning and disposing of medical equipment.
• Investigate staff radiation doses and log/triage incoming work.
• Support the radiographer QA programme and contribute to QMS documents.
