Job summary

TP ICAP Group is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design and automate cloud and on‑prem environments, driving CI/CD maturity, observability, and resilient software delivery. You will partner with developers, architects and operations to modernise engineering practices and streamline deployments at scale.

The role focuses on secure infrastructure, containerisation, and automation with AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD tooling. Hybrid UK working arrangement supported.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Extensive experience with AWS cloud services and DevOps practices.
• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and IaC.
• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for containerisation and orchestration.
• Scripting with Python, Bash/PowerShell, Go or Groovy.
• Experience with observability tools (Grafana/Prometheus/CloudWatch).
• Experience integrating automated testing in CI/CD workflows.
• Expertise using GitLab, Jenkins, Argo CD, CloudBees or Nexus.
• Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and lean/ agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Enable secure, automated deployments across CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and maintain IaC to automate resource deployment.
• Improve production stability with monitoring and observability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline deployments.
• Architect and support microservices using containers and serverless tech.
• Drive automation of environment management, logging and monitoring.
• Ensure adherence to cloud standards and security practices.
• Contribute to agile delivery and continuous improvement.
