Job summary

Scrumconnect Ltd seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to drive automation and deliver resilient CI/CD toolchains across multi-cloud environments. You will enable scalable, highly available services and work within agile teams to modernize legacy applications.

The role requires active SC clearance, extensive AWS experience (EC2/ECS), and IaC with Terraform/Ansible, plus GitLab CI expertise and scripting skills. Join a UK public sector-focused consultancy and help transform government platforms.

Qualifications

• Active SC Clearance required.
• Experience developing and supporting AWS cloud-based applications (EC2, ECS).
• Proficient in writing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience using Unix/Linux/Windows in support or development roles; includes scripting.
• Proven track record in building CI/CD pipelines, specifically in GitLab CI.
• Experience in agile software or platform engineering DevOps environments (Scrum/Kanban).
• Experience migrating legacy applications to cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements from product teams, evaluate tools, and implement/update solutions.
• Provision and manage cloud environments across platforms.
• Assist with operational issues to keep services highly available and resilient.
• Champion automation-first practices across CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains.
• Support migration of legacy applications to modern cloud environments.
• Collaborate within agile teams to embed CI/CD as standard practice.
