Job summary

VolkerWessels UK is seeking a collaborative Senior Design Manager to lead design activities across major water and wastewater infrastructure schemes in the East Anglia region. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external consultants to deliver exceptional outcomes.

This role offers the chance to influence projects from concept through delivery, with a focus on buildability, value engineering and stakeholder engagement in a complex environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience within civil engineering, infrastructure or water sector projects.
• Strong background in Design Management on major projects.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants.
• Excellent understanding of buildability, design coordination and project delivery.
• Strong programme management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and value engineering.
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
• Degree-level qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered status (CEng, MICE or equivalent) or working towards professional accreditation.
