Job summary

VolkerWessels UK is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead and coordinate design activities for major water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the East Anglia region. You will drive collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and external consultants to deliver designs from concept to delivery.

The role requires extensive civil engineering experience, a strong design management background, and Chartered status or progress toward accreditation.

• Strong background in design management on major projects.

• Excellent understanding of buildability, design coordination and project delivery.
• Strong programme management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and value engineering.
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
• Degree-level qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered status (CEng, MICE or equivalent) or working towards professional accreditation.

As Senior Design Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in leading and coordinating all design activities across significant water and wastewater infrastructure schemes.
