Job summary

BMSL Group Ltd invites a Healthily experienced Design Manager to join our Bridgend team and drive the design development of major infrastructure projects across Wales and the UK. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with Pre-Construction and Operational groups, and ensure robust, buildable designs from feasibility through to handover.

The role demands strong stakeholder management, commercial awareness, and a track record in civil infrastructure or design-build environments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Proficiency in CAD, BIM and Civil 3D software.
• Strong understanding of civil design and construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate design teams across civil, structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines.
• Manage the design development from feasibility to detailed design and delivery.
• Support bids, tenders and framework submissions with Pre-Construction teams.
• Drive buildability reviews, value engineering and risk reduction initiatives.
• Ensure designs meet programme, budget, quality and client requirements.
