Job summary

BMSL Group Ltd in Cardiff, South Wales, is recruiting a Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering water, wastewater, utilities and infrastructure projects across the region.

Working with senior engineers and managers, you will provide technical support, set out, quality assurance and engineering control on a range of projects. A clear path for career progression and ongoing training is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Engineer within civil engineering, utilities or water projects.
• Strong setting out and surveying capabilities with knowledge of drawings and specs.
• Experience in quality control and QA processes.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills, proactive and organised.
• Ability to work in a collaborative project team.

Responsibilities

• Setting out and maintaining dimensional control for construction activities.
• Ensuring works comply with drawings, specifications and design requirements.
• Managing survey control and engineering records.
• Conducting quality inspections, testing and assurance checks.
• Producing and maintaining as-built records and QA documentation.
• Monitoring progress and reporting on project performance.
• Supporting planning and coordination of site activities.
• Building strong working relationships with site teams and stakeholders.
• Identifying and resolving technical issues on site.
• Upholding health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
