Job summary

Bridgeman Recruitment Services (BRS) has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civils Project Manager to join a major civil engineering contractor in South Wales.

Our client specialises in structural repairs, waterproofing, expansion joints, cathodic protection, and temporary works. The company offers an excellent salary and benefits package as part of a major construction group.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated project management on civil engineering sites.
• Strong planning, organisational, commercial, and communication skills.
• Experience managing health and safety, technical documentation and site records.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the site operates safely, efficiently and in line with the project programme.
• Plan and schedule works, coordinating labour, subcontractors and resources.
• Complete material take-offs and place orders through Head Office.
• Ensure risk assessments and method statements are in place and complete all required health and safety documentation.
• Maintain accurate site records and complete contractor and project paperwork.
• Monitor costs and liaise closely with the Commercial team.
• Manage project information systems and document control.
• Ensure works are completed to the correct drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Liaise effectively with the principal contractor, client, subcontractors and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the site operates safely, efficiently, and in line with the project programme.
• Plan and schedule works, coordinating labour, subcontractors, and resources.

Essential Requirements

• Demonstrable project management experience on civil engineering sites.
• Strong planning, organisational, commercial, and communication skills.
• Experience managing health and safety, technical documentation, and site records.
• Valid SMSTS certification.
• Valid First Aid at Work certification.
• Valid CSCS Manager-level card or higher.
