Job summary

BMSL Group Ltd are seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to join their South Wales team, delivering major UK water and infrastructure programmes from concept to construction. The role focuses on practical, buildable solutions and leadership of design packages across multidisciplinary projects.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with clients and contractors, and ensure compliance with Eurocodes, UK standards, and HSEQ requirements in a collaborative design environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Strong civil design experience in water, utilities, infrastructure, industrial or energy projects.
• Knowledge of Eurocodes and UK design standards.
• Experience producing detailed calculations, reports and drawings.
• Understanding of BIM-led design processes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outline and detailed civil engineering designs across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review design calculations, technical reports, drawings and engineering documentation.
• Support BIM-led project delivery and modern design methodologies.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design inputs to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Work with project teams, contractors and clients to develop practical, cost-effective, buildable solutions.
• Assist with project planning, programme management and resource coordination.
• Mentor and support Engineers, Graduate Engineers and Technicians.
• Ensure designs comply with standards, quality procedures and HSEQ requirements.
