VolkerFitzpatrick is recruiting a Design Manager to join our Strategic Projects business. You will oversee design aspects of tenders and current projects, ensuring quality and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have experience with a main contractor on construction projects, strong knowledge of design procedures, CAD systems, drawings and models, and hold HND/HNC/Degree or equivalent. • Experience on single stage tenders and preferred terms work procurement routes.
• Experience on bidding and winning work.

We are currently recruiting for a Design Manager to join our Strategic Projects business.

You will be responsible for managing the design aspects of tenders and current projects.

About you

• The successful candidate will have experience of working for a main contractor on construction projects
• Knowledge of Design & Engineering Procedures
• Have a solid understanding of design processes, CAD systems, drawings and models
• HND/HNC/Degree or equivalent
• Membership of relevant Professional Institute i.e. CIOB
• Ability to lead and provide a professional, comprehensive and sustainable design service for the Client at Bid/Delivery stage
• Experience on both single stage tenders and preferred terms work procurement routes
• Experience on bidding and winning work
