Job summary

VolkerFitzpatrick, part of VolkerWessels UK, is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead pricing for major water infrastructure projects in the UK. You will produce accurate, competitive estimates for high‑value civil engineering bids and help secure work across key sectors.

You will work closely with bid teams and stakeholders, applying risk management and commercial principles, and influencing decisions from pre‑construction to contract award.

Qualifications

• Proven estimating experience within Tier 1 or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong civil engineering knowledge with water, utilities or infrastructure exposure.
• Good grasp of construction methods, risk and commercial principles.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively on multi-disciplinary bids.

Are you an experienced Senior Estimator looking to take a leading role in delivering some of the UK's most important water infrastructure projects?

We're now looking for a talented individual to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in pricing and securing major water sector projects. As the Senior Estimator you will lead the production of accurate, competitive and commercially robust estimates for high-value civil engineering and water infrastructure projects.

About You

• Proven estimating experience within a Tier 1 contractor or major infrastructure environment.
• Strong civil engineering knowledge, ideally gained through water, utilities, infrastructure or major project delivery.
• A strong understanding of construction methodologies, risk management and commercial principles.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• The ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience working on complex, multi-disciplinary bids and tenders.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach with a passion for winning work.
