Mirus Aircraft Seating Ltd in Hingham, England, is seeking a Senior Design and Development Engineer for an office-based role. You will lead design and development, champion best practice, and work closely with suppliers to optimise cost, weight, and performance of seat systems.
You will produce 3D/2D definitions in SolidWorks/PDM and drive engineering programs with minimal supervision, while mentoring less experienced colleagues and supporting process improvements.
Competenze
- Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent.
- Experience with CAD/PDM and GD&T best practices.
- Background in structural mechanical product development.
- Experience in aircraft seating environments.
- Knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques such as injection mouldings and machining.
Mansioni
- Lead design and development programs with minimal supervision.
- Own the design and development of key seat system modules.
- Collaborate with suppliers to balance cost and capability.
- Advance designs toward DFM and DFA.
- Produce high quality 3D/2D definitions using SolidWorks and PDM.
