Job summary

Mirus Aircraft Seating is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality compliance and continuous improvement across our aerospace manufacturing operations in the UK. You will support, maintain, and enhance the QMS, ensuring adherence to aerospace standards and regulatory requirements while guiding cross-functional teams to drive improvements.

You will act as deputy for the Quality & Compliance Manager, oversee audits, and manage non-conformances, CAPAs, and customer quality concerns.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical or business discipline
• Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment
• Extensive knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100, AS9102, ISO17025, CAA Part 21G & J
• FAI knowledge and understanding
• Strong knowledge of QMS and regulatory frameworks
• Experience using Lean / quality tools (8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
• Process mapping and creation of standard work / procedures
• Ability to coach and communicate compliance requirements

Responsibilities

• Act as deputy and delegate for the Quality & Compliance Manager when needed
• Support development, implementation, maintenance, and promotion of the QMS
• Establish and maintain quality manuals, procedures, and processes for aerospace standards
• Lead documentation such as quality plans, PFMEAs, flowcharts, AS9102 reports, and work instructions
• Oversee internal audit and surveillance program and address weaknesses
• Monitor QMS effectiveness and update procedures as required
• Investigate non-conformances and perform root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Manage customer quality concerns and oversee surveillance audits
• Lead corrective or improvement actions with cross-functional teams
• Facilitate NC, RCCA, and continuous improvement activities across functions
